REA London

A selective London team across universities, focused on high-impact, recruitment-relevant and cross-border formats – complementing what local societies already do. 3–5min

Context REA started as a local real estate club in Rotterdam and scaled within a year into a global network spanning 55 cities and 130+ leading universities. Our cross-university teams consist of 10-15 selected members. We run local and cross-border programs with industry partners and build a long-term platform of students, alumni, and professionals in real estate.

What this form is for: (1) understanding REA and (2) expressing interest in joining REA

REA’s focus

1) International early-career recruitment pipeline

Building the largest, most effective early-talent recruitment pipeline in real estate by connecting top students with firms through structured, high-trust formats around the world.

2) Global education

Top education through webinars, bootcamps/tracks, and other formats designed by professionals and partners across disciplines.

3) Long-term talent network

A global network across major markets and real estate disciplines – designed to compound in value through alumni and partner ecosystems.

-> For members, REA creates international career-/educational-/and networking opportunities. -> For partners (real estate firms), REA offers the largest and most selective recruitment pipeline in real estate, giving access to the best candidates from over 130 leading universities.

What we actually do

1) Local formats (city-level)

We run selective, recruitment-focused formats such as company visits, field trips, and case challenges.

London specifically: we don’t try to replicate the high-frequency event cadence many societies already run. Instead, REA London focuses on fewer, higher-impact events with clearer outcomes (recruitment: shortlists, direct introductions; network: with talent & professionals from multiple cities at once).

2) Global formats (cross-border)

Chapter exchanges & trips: cross-border visits with partners and other REA chapters

-> Amsterdam "REA Europe" convention: 12 European REA chapters (incl. REA UK) come together for a series of recruitment-focused company sessions (End-April)

-> REA UK (London, Oxford, Cambridge) / Dublin / Copenhagen exchanges / trips

Weekly webinars: global, consistent touchpoints with professionals & academics across markets.

Global case competitions: international participation, tied to hiring pipelines.

How REA is different from local societies
London already has a dense network of strong real estate societies doing great work locally (sometimes even internationally). REA London is meant to be additive: it creates a structured way to not only collaborate across universities but plug into international programs, opportunities and network.

Key differences:

-> Selective, cross-university team: A team is capped to 10–15 members, recruited across the strongest local universities.

-> High-impact vs. high-frequency: fewer events, but designed around real outcomes (targeted exposure, recruitment pathways, effective networking).

-> Cross-border in its core: London connects to other chapters (UK, Europe, and beyond) to create formats a single local society can’t run alone.

-> Built for international ambition: members who want cross-border careers & long-term network benefit from the largest structured global platform. -> BuildIn (see below)

REA doesn’t replace local societies and doesn’t require anyone to “switch” communities. If you’re currently leading or active in a society, we see that as a strength – and REA can be a way to broaden access and collaboration across London and internationally.

BuildIn (REA’s platform layer)
REA scaled globally fast – but a global network needs a system behind it. BuildIn is that system.

In short, BuildIn is:

-> A single platform connecting members, events, opportunities, and partners across all chapters.

-> One system for recruitment + education + networking, built around structured access & integrated interaction.

-> A “LinkedIn for real estate talent” layer: Meaningful networking; students and alumni, young professionals & mid-senior to senior-level professionals.

-> A career and education hub: Building the largest and most efficient global platform for real estate recruitment, curated jobs/tracks/programs, designed by partners.

-> A "Strategy" section: Consolidating learning, networking, international REA event access and job opportunities – creating a clear path into real estate across markets and giving members significant career advantage.
